It appears someone over at Microsoft had a bit of an 'uh-ohhhh' moment, although at the rate these "accidents" happen, you can't be blamed for thinking almost every leak is done on purpose to build hype. Even if that's true, this is one very interesting and hype-building leak indeed. Ignoring the fact that it's a halo branded console, it is after all, a SILVER 360Slim; something not yet seen or even hinted at. Is this silver console the future of special edition game bundles? Only time will tell.

Soon after this "accident", the listing not surprisingly disappeared, but when it was up it showed some good info as you can see. What we know so far is that it will be US$399.99, and by my estimates i am guessing that will mean it will be the 250GB version, with Halo Reach included and the special limited edition controller (maybe 2?). The Halo Reach limited edition controller (image here) (news story here), was also leaked alongside this bundle for the normal US$60 price. Both the console and controller showed a September 14th release date, the same as Halo Reach.

All this comes in a timely fashion as well, because Bungie is at Comic-Con this week; so is this something they had planned to announce to the world? Guess we will see. What are everyone's thoughts? Like i said ignoring the fact it's a Halo bundle, do you like the 360Slim in silver? or do you rather it in black?

[UPDATE]
This console has been confirmed, go to Bungie.net for more info.

Over the recent weeks, we have seen rumours of the new Xbox 360 Slim, but now we can put those rumours to bed by announcing the official specs of the new 360Slim. And on top of that why not add in the price of Kinect and a 360Slim + Kinect Bundle as well?

First up the price of Kinect, the "no-hand-camera-controller". At launch it will cost people an RRP of US$150 to get their hands on it, which should mean us in AUS will get it for AU$199. That includes the Kinect camera and the game "Kinect Adventures".

A week ago Amazon Germany leaked some info on the new 360Slim, which you can see here. Officially announced today, the new 360Slim will include all the specs of the current Slim, but instead of a big 250GB HDD or even a 120GB HDD; it will have just 4GB of internal flash memory. For the previously announced price of US$199.
Honestly think about that price for a second. The 250GB version is $299 and the 4GB version is $199, so $100 less for 246GB difference....not exactly fair in my opinion, at the very least i thought $199 would buy a 60GB HDD....guess not?

Also announced, is the news of a bundle that includes Kinect w/ Kinect Adventures and the new 4GB 360Slim. Bought separate you would be paying US$349, but with the bundle you pay just US$299; the same price as the current 250GB Slim.

The coming dashboard update, although said to be only for the US for the time being, has had some pictures leaked on a website called "Logic-Sunrise". We don't know if these are real, which is why it's in the rumourmill section, but take a look anyway.
Question is: Would you like to see this dashboard every day when you turn your xbox on? Personally, i like the current one more.

>> From examiner.com:
[QUOTE]
Microsoft has said that an Arcade version of the Xbox 360 "S" (aka Slim) was coming but hasn't provided any hints on what it would or wouldn't have and hasn't given a general release date beyond later this year. Now a listing at Amazon's German website may have let some of those details slip.

The new Xbox 360 Arcade will come with 4GB of memory according to the Amazon listing. This could be internal flash memory but the listing says "Bundle" which indicates it might be a USB thumbdrive.

The Slim Arcade is due out on August 20, 2010 in Germany.
They price the new console is listed in Euros at €148.99 which translates to $187 and change. The $199.99 retail price in the United States is unlikely to change for the new Arcade.

For those interested in the new Xbox 360 Slim, you might want to hold off for a little while. It has been confirmed that later this year a version of the Xbox 360 Slim will hit stores for a price of US$199.

The current version has a 250GB HDD and built-in wireless. My bet is this new one will have a 120GB HDD and no built-in wireless. Only time will tell as we don't have any other news about it except the price and it will be in stores later this year.
