Ninja Blade Nutshell Review

In a Nutshell....
Reviews for the lazy.
I'd like to try and be the one games journalist to not mention Ninja Gaiden whilst talking about Ninja Blade, but the fact is Ninja Blade is Ninja Gaiden for dummies. Remove the difficulty, flair, half the arsenal, and fun of Ninja Gaiden, and then put in hundreds of quick-time events, and you are left with the tedious experience that is Ninja Blade. You play as a ninja called Ken who is tasked with saving Tokyo from an out-break of monsters. Ninja Blade is only ever difficult for the wrong reasons, lacks any real depth in the combat, and is full of more quick-time events than you could poke a couple dozen sticks at. It's not a horrible game, it just isn't anything more than a fairly average hack and slash.

TGV Score: 55/100
The Good:
- Cool finishes for bosses fights
- Lots of unlockables
The Bad:
- Repetitive
- Poor graphically
- Lousy A.I.
